Our initial goal was to update the kitchen and bathrooms in our 40-year-old home. During the concept phase with Tony and John, we expressed our concerns with the layout of our first floor. They returned with an incredibly creative and innovative design plan to utilize our entire space. In addition to the uniqueness of their design, they incorporated much architectural detail that truly modernized and beautified our home. The project involved working with a variety of vendors (cabinetry, appliance, lighting, plumbing, stone, etc.), a process made enjoyable by Elke, who accompanied us and consulted on purchase decisions. The vendors and tradesmen they used were uniformly of top quality and dependability. The A. Perry team was patient, thoughtful, consistently gave us good advice, and equally important, a delight to work with. We are enjoying living in our beautifully remodeled home - formerly consisting of many small rooms- now thoroughly modernized and open with wonderful sight lines through the home and to the garden.

We started working with A. Perry Homes after we interviewed several architects to build a custom luxury home. We had a good feeling after talking with Tony that he would be passionate about our project and that he understood our goals, and we were right! We had a lot of fun throughout the whole design process. Tony and his team were very cognizant of our needs and wants while incorporating many creative ideas that blended into the plan. His building superintendent was wonderful to work with as well, keeping us apprised of everything that went on at the building site. The choices and decisions that need to be made in these types of projects are infinite, and we thought it was going to be overwhelming; as it turns out it was nothing but a pleasure. Another point I want to mention is their prompt response to all our emails and phone calls. Perry team and contractors were professional and great to work with. For the most part, deadlines were met and we stuck fairly close to our original budget. A. Perry is the architect and builder of our currently in progress new custom home in a North Shore suburb of Chicago. The firm has been excellent to date. Design was based on our needs and with our close participation and within our constraints, but still with creative solutions and recommendations to yield an overall beautiful layout/design. Proposal was cost conscious but with long term quality in mind and completely transparent. Subs and material suppliers are chosen based on overall quality, flexibility and service approach. Building process to date has been flexible enabling changes during the build phase. All firm members and sub contractors have been wonderful to partner with. We are looking forward to living in our beautiful new home - designed and built to meet our needs/style of living.
